Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review, update, and make changes to your employee benefits. Whether you’re looking to continue or explore new options it’s important to be informed and prepared.

How to Prepare:

  1. Make sure you can log in to Employee Self Service (ESS). Contact the Auditor’s Office for login assistance:
  2. Update your contact, dependent and beneficiary information in Employee Self Service (ESS) to ensure your record is current.
  3. Know the dates – Open Enrollment runs from October 21st through November 3, 2025.
  4. Review your current benefit elections in Employee Self Service (ESS).
  5. Explore your options by comparing plans, costs and any new offerings.
  6. Attend a Benefit meeting to learn more.
  7. Contact the Benefit Resource Center (BRC) by calling 855-874-0829 or email (BRCMidwest@usi.com) Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST & CST for any questions you may have about our benefits.

A confirmation of your benefit election will be sent to your email once your submission is reviewed and approved by benefits. Benefits are effective January 1, 2026. Please check your January 9th paycheck to ensure your benefits are being deducted and compare them to your benefit summary. If there is an error, contact tigo@clermontcountyohio.gov.

No changes can be made after this period unless you experience a qualifying life event.

What’s Changing for This Year’s Benefit Enrollment?

We’ve made a few important updates to your benefits options for the upcoming year. Here’s what’s new:

NEW PROVIDERS

  • Vision: EyeMed 
  • Voluntary Life Insurance: Mutual of Omaha

Mutual of Omaha is offering a one-time Open Enrollment for the voluntary life benefits. If you are currently not enrolled, you can elect coverage (up to the guaranteed issue amount of $250,000, meaning no medical questions asked. If you already have voluntary life insurance, you can increase your coverage up to the maximum of $500,000 but it will require Evidence of Insurability (EOI).

Guaranteed Issue Amounts

    • Employee $250,000
    • Spouse $50,000
    • Child(ren) Increments of $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 to $20,000.

Note: Coverage for spouses and children may not exceed the employee’s coverage amount.

 

Changes to IRS Limits for all Spending Accounts: 

  • Health Saving Account: Individual/Family $4,400/$8,750.
  • Flexible Spending Account: Maximum $3,400 with a $500 rollover
  • Limited Flexible Spending Account: $3,400 no rollover
  • Flexible Spending Dependent Care Account: Maximum $7,500 Married filing separately $3,750

 

ACTION REQUIRED: 

All benefit eligible employees must login to Employee Self Service (ESS) to complete the open enrollment process – even those who are declining coverage (unless terming prior to 1/1/2026)
